It’s your turn to shine!  Put your project on display at the Fair!

What is your special talent? Are you an artist or photographer? Do you build models or create intricate woodworking projects? Don’t hide your skills, show them off to all of your neighbors and friends at the Santa Barbara Fair & Expo. Sharing your creativity is a gift to the community and it is great fun too! Imagine the thrill of winning a blue ribbon at the Fair for your special talent!

Entries are being accepted for the the 27th annual Santa Barbara Fair & Expo.The 2017 Theme is “Back to the 50’s”. The Fair will include displays of your homemade foods, wine, beer, arts and crafts, horticulture, fine arts and a lot more. Your items are beautifully showcased in the Warren Hall, Exhibitor Building Hall and throughout the Fair & Expo.

Happy Days Hall is where you’ll find Adult Exhibits, features the incredible work of artists and craftspeople (Adult Education instructors and students) Sumi Painting, scrapbooking, Bunka, wool spinning and other inspiring and educational demonstrations will be interspersed with the exhibiits. You are invited to showcase your prized projects and creations in this .

Youth exhibits are displayed in the Pleasantville Exhibitor Building.  kids will have the opportunity to experience all kinds of fun things that are going on right here in our community. Here your children can show off their creative side. There is a place for everything from pottery to photography and designing to painting. Your kids won’t want to miss the Interactive Displays Toys and Games, this is something you will have to see to believe.

Cooking Contests

A big highlight of the Santa Barbara Fair & Expo is the Cooking Contest, which takes place in the Drive In Diner in Happy Days Hall. Here’s a chance to enter a treasured recipe, watch the judging and take part in all of the fun. There are categories for both youth and adult entrants. Contestants receive free fair admission with any pre-entry in the Fair & Expo Cooking Contests. Please see the Handbook for details, or download the entry form below.

  • Wednesday April 26th  @7pm– Chocolate Chip Cookies
  • Thursday April 27th @ 7pm – Meat Loaf
  • Friday April 28th @ 7pm – Carrot Cake
  • Saturday April 29th @ 1:30pm – Tuna Noodle Casserole 
    @ 3:00pm – Fruit Pie
  • Sunday April 30th @1:30pm – Macaroni and Cheese 
    @ 3:00pm (Special Contest) King Arthur Flour Chocolate Cake with White Frosting

A printed handbook is also available at the Earl Warren Administration Office. We are open Monday through Friday from 8-5pm. Our office is located near the east entrance (Gate A) accessible from Las Positas Rd. Phone 805.687.0766.
